Friends of Thwaite Gardens

We had a great Open Day on the 17th May and the event was well-attended, despite the uncertain weather. Jason Daff, Honorary Secretary of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, was one of our visitors. Jason said “You have something really special here. The unique collection in the Thwaite Garden is an important resource for both research and education, not only as a location to observe the diversity of plant life but to explore how plants may contribute to mitigating the planetary challenges we face: biodiversity loss, food security and improving human health and wellbeing.”
